Friends, United in Christ, Nurturing Each Other and the World
Dear Church Family,
Thank you. I love you. Neither of those statements comes close to expressing all of the gratitude and affection I feel toward you for all we have shared together these past 15 years. But in the absence of other words, they will have to do. God has given us so many opportunities to grow in grace, minister in love and share God’s good news with the Western Hanover community. We have laughed, cried, teased, fussed (a few times at least), been overjoyed and been deeply grieved. But most of all, we have loved; loved our Lord, loved one another and loved those not yet in our midst. I am forever changed for the better by having been your pastor.
As you prepare for the new ministry of Rev. Owen Taylor and I prepare to become the pastor of Ramsey Memorial UMC, we take the imprints of one another with us into these new adventures God is leading us into. So as we part ways later this month, I leave us with this blessing from scripture:

"May the Lord bless you
 and protect you.
May the Lord smile on you
and be gracious to you.
May the Lord show you his favor
and give you his peace.”
~ Numbers 6: 24-26 ~

     With transforming hope,
     Claudia
